Wire tubular annealing machine is a kind of equipment used for the heat treatment of metal and is widely used in the wire and cable manufacturing industry. When operating this equipment, operators need to be proficient in technology and find and solve fault problems in time for better maintenance and use. Today Mentors will introduce some common faults of the Copper Wire Tubular Annealing Machine and their solutions.

1. Traversing becomes the wave

1.1 Transverse axis bending

1.2 The rack and the gear rub against each other severely, especially in the process of traversing.

1.3 The internal reduction gear of the traversing motor is worn or broken.

1.4 Whether the rack surface is smooth

1.5 The R shape of the supporting wheel is not on the same straight line

2. The front and rear widths of the same traversing are inconsistent

2.1 The fit between the rack and spur gears is too loose

2.2 Gear set screw is not locked

2.3 The R shape of the supporting wheel is not on the same straight line

3. Wire tubular annealing machine breaks wire frequently

Breaks mainly happen inside the furnace tubes, for under the regular condition of the furnace, wires in the furnace tube are easy to break, check several problems below when a break happens:

3.1 Check whether both ends of the steel bobbin are smooth

3.2 Check whether the tension of the steel bobbin is too loose, too loose will cause a break in common work as well as too tight

3.3 Check whether the nylon wires are suitable (Choose 0.4mm nylon thread between 0.1mm to 0.15mm, and Choose 0.55mm nylon thread between 0.15 to 0.30mm)

3.4 Check whether the nylon wires break, when producing thin wires, the burrs on the broken place will cause a break.

3.5 Check whether the steel bobbin and aluminum cap have burrs, tell clients to clean the machine with sandpaper before using it to prevent unnecessary troublesome

3.6 Check whether both ends of the furnace tube have burrs, in the condition of tension unbalanced will cause a break

4. The finish wires appear the brown spots and outside without a smooth finish

4.1 Please check whether there is water on the wires, the spots are caused by water when the wires have been made for a long period. ( you can use the napkins to wipe the wire to test)

4.2 If there is water on the finish wire, please check whether the cotton suction performance is good or not, generally, if there is no water on the wires when they are out from the last towel rack, then it will achieve better performance after oven drying.
If there is water on wires when they pass the last rack, so please check the cotton and blower first, if they are not ok. the oven can not dry the wire completely, if the wires are dried only by the oven, the elongation of copper wire will be not good. the technology of CCA wire is more complex, so we should realize the standard of wire’s elongation. if it doesn’t meet the requirements, consider the problems below:

4.2.1 Check whether the furnace temperature is suitable for the wire diameter(according to the instructions of the data as a reference)

4.2.2 Check the quality of the wire

4.2.3 Haul-off speed, wire diameter, and temperature should meet each other, the haul-off speed is proportional to furnace temperature

4.2.4 Temperature is too high, the wire is easy to becomes brittle, do CCA wire, the temperature should not be too high, or the wire above will be spotted.

5. The color of the wire made by the furnace body is not shiny

5.1 Check whether the waterway of the sink has sealed one end of the furnace tube (at least three centimeters higher than the nozzle)

5.2 Check whether there is any air in the furnace tube that has not been forced out (use alcohol into the upper end of the furnace tube to force out the air) so that the inside of the furnace tube must be vacuumed (the effect in a vacuum state: the thread does not oxidize, does not change color)

5.3 Whether there are cracks in the furnace tube (this phenomenon generally does not appear, because our company uses stainless steel seamless tubes)

6. Annealing furnace tube blockage

The blockage of the annealing tube is generally caused by improper operation. The fuse is not disposed of in time during annealing, and the broken wires accumulate slowly in the furnace tube for a long time, resulting in difficulty in threading. In addition, when threading the wire, the large iron wire is accidentally broken in the furnace tube. Such a result is troublesome and may cause the furnace tube to be scrapped.

6.1 The general blockage is at the outlet of the furnace tube, above the water tank, because the temperature there is relatively low. If the situation is not serious, you can use a pulling circle smaller than the inner hole of the furnace tube, with a diameter of about 8mm, and pull it back and forth to solve the problem. If the blockage is serious, you must weld the drill bit of the adjustable-speed pistol drill with a smooth round, and then deal with it patiently (note: the drill bit must be welded straight, so as to prevent the drill bit from damaging the furnace tube and causing losses ).

How to Maintain Wire Tubular Annealing Machine

1. Regular cleaning

The annealing machine should be cleaned at regular intervals to ensure the cleanliness of the interior of the furnace and pipes, and to remove dust and residues in the furnace.

2. Check the electrical components

Check whether the components are aging and deformed, especially the insulation condition of the furnace body and the connection points of the cables, which need to be inspected regularly.

3. Adjust controller parameters

Regularly check the accuracy and stability of the temperature control instrument and make adjustments according to actual production conditions.
